Fresh A.I.R. Gallery partners with the Carnegie Gallery at the Columbus Metropolitan Library
January 8 — February 23, 2009
Several Fresh A.I.R. Gallery exhibiting artists are participating in Fresh A.I.R. Gallery Invitational in the Carnegie Gallery at the Columbus Metropolitan Library. The Carnegie Gallery at the Main Library was created with support of the Friends of the Library to create unique cultural experiences for library visitors by presenting quality art exhibitions. Exhibits at Carnegie are free and open to the public and feature the best work of both emerging and established artists. This opportunity is great for the emerging artists selected and gives them the opportunity to show their work in another capacity. The opening reception at the Carnegie Gallery is Thursday, January 8 5:00-7:00 and is free and open to all. The exhibit runs through February 23, 2009. Carnegie Gallery is located on the 2nd floor of the Main library at 96 S. Grant Ave, downtown Columbus.

You're Gone (30" x 40", Acrylic on canvas)
Some of the dearest loved ones can handle the pressures of living with me during times of great suffering and illness. There are others that I miss. I hopefully search about me at times for a sign of their return... .

Green Ocean Car (17" x 11", Photo)
Themes in my art are universal: time, movement, light, exploration of textures and shapes, shadows and reflections. My work is therapy for me, and I'm overjoyed to be participating in "Fresh A.I.R." Hopefully, the gallery will be a wonderful place to showcase the work of artists who happen to be "mental health consumers"!
